Selena Gomez is an American singer and actress born on July 22, 1992, in Grand Prairie, Texas. Her father is Ricardo Gomez, a Mexican, while her mother Amanda Cornett is of Italian descent. Amanda Cornett is a former theatre actress. Her parents named her after Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, a Grammy-winning American singer and fashion designer, also known as the Queen of Tejano music.
Selena’s mother had her when she was just 16 years old, and when Selena was five, her parents separated and left her in her mother’s care. Amanda had to take three jobs to provide for her daughter. Selena also spent some of her early years with her grandparents, who raised her while her parents were finishing high school.

Selena has two sisters, Gracie Teefey, born from Amanda’s marriage with her second husband, and Victoria Gomez, born to Ricardo and his wife Sara.
Selena was initially motivated to enter the entertainment industry after watching her mother rehearse for her theater productions. After that, her passion for entertainment grew and she started auditioning for various roles. During one of the auditions, Selena met Demi Lovato, the duo was selected for the children’s series Barney And Friends, later they became good friends and finally Disney stars. Selena’s breakthrough came when she was chosen to appear as Alex Russo in the Disney movie Wizards Of Waverly Place.

Selena had a pretty dramatic, long, recurring relationship with the singer Justin Bieber. The duo eventually split up in 2014 but was seen together several times in 2015 and 2016, fueling rumors of a resurgent relationship. The duo initially denied that there was anything more between them, but it seems that they are about to get back together.
After the rocky relationship, Selena told W Magazine that she was exhausted when she talked about Bieber, and although she was still concerned about his well-being and health, she was as good as done in terms of relationships, but Bieber had none of it, and even if Selena had her own fair share of affairs with stars like Charlie Puth, Orlando Bloom and Samuel Krost, this only seemed to nourish Bieber’s determination to get her back, and his efforts seemed to pay off according to reports.
According to Hollywood Life, Justin invited Selena to his concert in LA in March 2016, and she did, but as if that wasn’t enough, the couple were also spotted several times alone in a hotel. What more? Bieber posted a retrospective photo of him and Selena kissing during one of their vacations on March 20, 2016, and described it as “feels”, Selena wrote a comment with “perfect”. So maybe, just maybe, Jelena could be back. The drama doesn’t seem to be over yet.

Apart from Bieber, Selena had relationships with actors like Taylor Lautner and her Disney star colleague Nick Jonas before she met Bieber in 2010. It’s unclear who Selena is currently with, but many fans keep their fingers crossed that it will be AGAINST Bieber and will stay until the end.
