Russell Grant – 5 Interesting Facts About the Astrologer and His Horoscopes

Russell Grant is Britain’s most sophisticated gay astrologer, media personality, author, and favorite psychologist. His fame as a professional star actor only began when he read for the Queen in public. He was born on February 4, 1951, as Russell John Dammeral Grant in Hillingdon, Middlesex, England. As a child, he grew up in a town hall with his grandparents in the 1950s when his parents’ marriage broke up.

His father was first a salesman before becoming a stage designer in Pinewood. His mother also dealt with contracts. Russell fell into depression at a young age when he lost both his grandmothers to Alzheimer’s disease. It took him a long time to get over the loss, especially because they were the constant people in his life at that time. During this time he also gained over 172 kg.

The impact of losing his grandmothers was so profound for him that when he finally became a star, he competed as a celebrity contestant on Paddy’s Show and Telly in December 2011 and All-Star Family Fortunes in February 2012, winning money for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Career Procession

Russell may be best known at the moment as an astrologer, but he did not start his career as such, but as a young actor in the theater. He performed in Tom Brown’s school days, and as a soccer fan, he designed the badge of the club Brentford F.C. He was also a redback in Butlin’s Holiday camps. There is no record of Grant’s educational achievements to indicate whether he studied astrology or not, but his first recorded appearance as an astrologer on television was on Yorkshire TV and the show Extraordinary in 1979. From there he moved to Granada TV and hosted the show Live from Two, which ran for two years from 1980-1981. During his career as an astrologer, he graced many shows on many channels and became more and more sought after with each appearance.
