Jacob was taken to Portland’s Legacy Emanuel Medical Center where he underwent major surgery to remove a small piece of his skull that had been pressed into his brain. The surgery helped relieve swelling in his head. On October 30, just a few days later, Jacob and Mike recovered from their injuries and were released from the hospital.
Although the camera crew for their broadcast was on the farm during the accident, they were not in the area where the accident happened and therefore there is no footage of the accident. The family later included footage taken shortly after the accident in their program, which shows Jacob lying on the ground near the Trebuchet after the accident.
Jacob’s parents – Amy and Matt – published a short clip before their new episodes and thanked everyone for their support after the accident. The next time Jacob was shown on the show – there was an injury around his right eye.

Jacob is currently engaged with his girlfriend Isabel Rock. The two are young, happy, and in love. They both announced their engagement on Instagram in January 2018 and intend to travel a lot when they get married.
The announcement was met with enthusiastic support from family, friends, and fans. Many supported their decision to marry at such a young age and wished them good luck together for life. Jacob’s mother, in particular, could not contain her excitement and later hosted an engagement party for the couple in April 2018.
