Michael McIntyre’s Bio
The Englishman was born Michael Hazen James McIntyre on February 21, 1976, in Merton, London. Michael was first seen on the big screen in the BBC One studios on April 1, 1989, during an episode of the Saturday morning show Going Live! He was just 13 years old at the time and was filmed throwing a question to Five Star, the pop group that was a guest on the show.
Years later, Michael established a lucrative relationship with the station. The comedian appeared three times in BBC One’s “Live at the Apollo” show in 2007, 2008, and 2009. From 2009 he also hosted his Saturday night show Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow with the station. McIntyre’s comedy DVD releases have been distributed over five million times in the UK alone. DVDs include Happy and Glorious, Hello Wembley, Showtime, and Live and Laughing.
Throughout his career he has participated in a variety of comedy panels and talk shows, including Chris’ Moyle’s Quiz Night; 8 out of 10 Cats; The Apprentice: You’re Fired!; Friday Night with Jonathan Ross; and Have I Got News For You, among others.
