Sharon Rachel Levy was born in Brixton, London, on October 9, 1952, the son of music promoter and rock and roll entrepreneur Don Arden and his wife Hope Arden. Her parents were Jewish, and as such, she became a practicing Jew. She is of Russian-Irish descent and has a sibling, a brother named David.

He is an English media personality, married to Lisa Stelly, with whom he has three children. They announced their divorce on 18 May 2018.
