The amazing star was born on August 27, 1994, in Syracuse, New York in the United States. She grew up with her parents and her younger brother Connor Stewart. She belongs to the North American ethnic group and has American citizenship. Due to her incredible size, the basketball prodigy developed a great interest in this sport at a very early age. She attended the Cicero-North Syracuse High School in New York, where she played basketball for the school team.

As she is a versatile player, she is called “Bean” by Breanna’s fans because of her wingspan. She finished her freshman year with an average of nine rounds, seven blocks, and seventeen points per game. In her second year, she led her school to the title of AA state public school, which earned her an average of 15 rebounds and 24 points per game.

The multi-talent reached a career peak in 2012, scoring her 2,000th point for the Cicero-North basketball team. She was appointed to the All-American team at McDonald’s and in the same year was selected for the All-American team of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) High School All-American. Breanna ended her high school career by winning the Naismith High School Girls Player of the Year Award and was also named Gatorade National Girls Basketball Player of the Year 2012.

Stewart enrolled at the University of Connecticut where she continued her college career. In her freshman year, she showed outstanding performance in the NCAA tournament, earning her the award for most outstanding player of the last four years. In her senior year at UConn, Stewart led the Huskies to four consecutive national championships and ended her college career with 2,676 points, 1,179 rebounds, and 414 blocks in 151 games. She has received several awards, including the Associated Press Women’s College Basketball Player of the Year Award, the American Athletic Player of the Year Award, the Wade Trophy, and the USBWA Women’s Player of the Year Award. Professional Career and Stats

Breanna Stewart was the first overall choice for the Seattle Storm in the 2016 WNBA draft, playing alongside Sue Bird and making her debut for the Storm when she scored 23 points in the game against the Los Angeles Sparks. She made franchise history as the second player with the most points in a game, scoring 38 points in the game against the Atlanta Dream. Stewart finished the rookie year with 1.8 blocks, 9.3 rebounds, and 18.3 points per game. After her outstanding performance, Stewart was nominated for the WNBA All-Star Team 2017 and won the ESPY Award and Rookie of the Year.
