N’Golo Kante Biography
N’Golo Kante was born in Paris, France, on March 29, 1991, the son of parents who had immigrated from Mali in search of a better life. When their son was born, the better life was still far from them, so Kante grew up in a very modest environment in a suburb of Paris.
Kante spent his childhood playing football and collecting garbage, which he sold for little money. After France’s glory at the 1998 World Cup, the young Kante immediately came to believe that he could have a chance as a footballer, and it was this that led him to make a real start with the help of his parents.
Kante grew up with his three siblings, two brothers, and one sister, who all still lead the same private and humble life as the football star.

Football Career
Before he became the player he is, N’Golo Kante had to travel many miles. He began his youth career at JS Suresnes in 1999. He remained with the team until 2010 when he moved to Boulogne. In 2012, the French team promoted him to the senior national team, marking the beginning of his professional career. Kante was signed by Caen in 2013, where he remained until 2015 when he was signed by Leicester City in the English Premier League.
After 37 games, one goal, and winning the EPL title, Kante became a Chelsea FC player after being signed by the club in 2016. Interestingly, his first season with Chelsea saw him win the Premier League for the second time before winning the FA Cup.
Aside from his contributions to his various clubs, Ngolo has also received many individual awards, including the London Football Awards Player of the Year, Chelsea Player of the Year, FWA Footballer of the Year, and the PFA Players’ Player of the Year, all in 2017.
Kante kicked the ball for the first time in 2016 in France’s blue colors, having previously received a call from the Malian national team in the run-up to the 2015 African Cup of Nations, but declined as he was still trying to get a better standing in the game. His first game for France was in a match against Romania in Euro 2016.
His next major and the most important assignment was at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, where he helped the team reach the finals and then win the trophy. For his performance for Les Bleus, former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger considered him one of the tournament’s most influential players, while English legend Gary Lineker considers him the best player of the World Cup.
