Biography And Profile Of The New Pentatonix Singer
Matt was born on February 11, 1994, in Dallas, Texas, in the United States of America. His birth name was Matthew Sallee. He grew up in a very loving home with five children, and his parents’ love of music rubbed off on him and helped shape his music career.
Matt Sallee’s father was a music pastor, and like most children who grew up in the homes of musically oriented parents, he first came into contact with singing in the church choir. His father took him under his wing and taught him a lot about how to read notes, how to recognize notes, and how to sing to a melody and at a steady pitch. Matt’s mother also loved singing and was his musical partner from a very early age. Matt has an older brother, Ernest, and also a sister, Tamira. Not much is known about his siblings, as he rarely talks about them.
Matt, like most children, had to receive an education to build an alternative future for himself. He went to high school, and while he was there, his love for music never waned. In high school, he learned a lot about classical music and how to sing this rather technical style of music. He sang in musical shows, plays, theater, and even in the school choir at every opportunity.
After Matt Sallee graduated from high school, he wanted to be accepted at Elon University in North Carolina; Elon has an excellent liberal arts department. His application to Elon University was rejected, and although disappointed by this development, he picked himself up and never allowed it to dampen his enthusiasm for the liberal arts or further his education in his chosen field and passion.
Matt’s singing talent has given him the rare opportunity and privilege of being on the same stage with award-winning musicians such as Mrs. Jill Scott, the lovely Jessie J, and so many others. Matt Sallee shares his musical talent and his cover versions of songs via social media, and even before he became really popular, he had nearly 150,000 followers following his music and enjoying his incredible talent on Instagram.
