This girl from Pennsylvania was born on November 7, 1977, in the city of Harrisburg and moved with her family to Northern Virginia at the age of five.

She attended Centerville High School in Fairfax County, where she played field hockey and lacrosse. She then went to James Madison University where she earned a degree in online journalism. While still a student, however, she began an internship with the CBS-affiliated television station WUSA TV.

Lindsay then began her career at CNN as a production assistant. This led to assignments at WAWS, WTEV-TV, WTVJ (all in Florida), and the Speed Channel. All these channels have in common that they are all affiliated with or owned by CBS, FOX, or NBC.

Lindsay Czarniak as a High-profile Sports Broadcaster with NBC and ESPN

After her hectic time between stations, she returned to Washington and joined NBC’s own WRC-TV as a sports presenter and reporter. This was thanks to veteran broadcaster George Michael. In 2006, she also became co-host of his long-running show The George Michael Sports Machine. In the same year, she also covered the Winter Olympics for NBC Sports.

In 2007, Lindsay and Dan Hillel took over the role of George Michael as co-host of NBC4. In the run-up to November of the same year, she interviewed Washington Redskins players when her teammate Sean Taylor was murdered.

In 2008, she worked as a sports reporter for NBC during the Summer Olympics and also hosted Gymnastics on Oxygen, a half-hour show on the Oxygen TV Network. The show was about shedding light on gymnastics and other Olympic competition opportunities specifically for women.

On 13 July 2011 Lindsay Czarniak had her last appearance on WRC-TV. She joined ESPN and did her first show for the channel on August 19, 2011, replacing Jay Harris a year later as co-host of the 6 pm segment of SportsCenter. She was also the first woman to host ABC’s coverage of the 500 games of Indianapolis 2013. Her contract with ESPN expired in August 2017.
