The star baseball player was born on March 5, 1993, in Middletown, Ohio, the son of Greg and Donna Schwarber. He grew up together with his 4 siblings, which consisted of 3 sisters: Lindsey, Alicia, and Kelly Schwarber, and his brother Jamin Schwarber.

Kyle, who is also identified by the nicknames Hulk, Schwarbs, or Warbird, got his full name as Kyle Joseph Schwarber. He is an American by nationality and belongs to the German-American ethnic group.

Like most of his peers in his hometown when they were teenagers, Kyle Schwarber attended Middletown High School in Middletown, Ohio, and distinguished himself with his impressive punching skills. In his 4 years in high school, Kyle hit .408 with 18 home runs and 103 RBIs. This distinguished him as a boy he needed to look after at the beginning of his college career.

For college, the Ohio native enrolled at Indiana University-Bloomington (Bloomington, Indiana). As part of his college baseball career, he was named All-American first year by the Louisville Slugger and Collegiate Baseball Newspaper and All-American first team by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA). Kyle was also a finalist for the Johnny Bench Award.

He was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the first round of the 4th overall round of the 2014 MLB Draft and made his professional debut against the Boise Hawks. His performance for his team did not fall short of expectations, and in just one season he was promoted to the Kane County Cougars of the Class A Midwest League and the Daytona Cubs of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League. With these 3 teams, he played 72 games and scored .344/.428/.634 with 18 home runs, 53 RBIs, and 18 doubles.

Kyle Schwarber rose to the big leagues on June 6, 2015, and since then he has had a smooth career, albeit with a few injury breaks here and there. Overall Kyle’s career statistics show him with GP – 257, AB – 839, R – 148, H – 190, RBI – 130, BB – 133, SO – 283, HR – 57, with an Avg of 0.226.

Weight Loss Journey

Realizing that he could not weigh 235 pounds and could not play effectively in the outfield, Kyle committed to losing some excess body mass without losing his unique punching power.

In the 2017 off-season, the young American baseball player, who has set himself the goal of becoming a Gold Glover in his career, lost up to 20 pounds. When it was time for spring training in 2018, he almost didn’t recognize how fit and well-built he looked compared to the heavier-looking Kyle that people knew before.

On his weight loss journey, he ate only what was prepared by a professional and intended for him, his favorite food was chicken parmesan and pizza, and during this time fast food was taboo for him, while Saturday was a meal cheat day. On the sweaty side of weight loss, his training included agility exercises on the football pitch. Overall, Kyle was true to his weight loss plan, which explains why it paid off in a short period of time.

His Girlfriend

Paige Hartman is the lucky lady who has Kyle Schwarber all to herself. They’ve been together since 2010, and they say they went to the same high school.

While Schwarber went to Indiana University, Paige attended the University of Cincinnati, where she graduated with a degree in child-rearing, and later the Paul Mitchell School – a Cincinnati beauty school where the MLB beauty graduated in 2015. Throughout her college years, the distance was never an obstacle to the love they felt for each other.
