The Philadelphia 76ers’ famous basketball player, Jerryd Bayless, spent only one year at the University of Arizona before deciding to give up his remaining three years of college eligibility. He subsequently volunteered for the NBA, which was reflected in the 2008 NBA Draft, where he was voted 11th overall by the Indiana Pacers, who later traded him to the Portland Trail Blazers before the end of the year.

Professional Career Timeline

After his NBA Draft 2008 as the 11th overall Indiana Pacers winner, the young basketball player switched to the Portland Trail Blazers that same year. He played with the Blazers until 2010 when he was transferred to the New Orleans Hornets. In the same year, Jerryd Bayless had to switch to the Toronto Raptors again. From 2010 to 2012, this star contributed his quota to the Raptors and recorded good plays and impressive statistics before moving to the Memphis Grizzlies in 2012.

The talented point guard and shooting guard stayed with the grizzlies for nearly two years and eventually made the switch to the Boston Celtics in 2014, leading him to the Boston Celtics. The Celtics in turn traded him for the Milwaukee Bucks before the end of the year. Bayless’ stay at the Bucks extended from 2014 to 2016, when he joined his current team, the Philadelphia 76ers. Due to a wrist injury, Bayless had to wait until November 2016 before making his season debut with his current team. After his rehabilitation process, he missed the first 13 games of the season.
