Jason Nash was given the name Jason Eric Nash when he was born in Boston, Massachusetts on May 23, 1973. He studied at the University of Massachusetts and after graduating moved to New York where he worked for a year as a personal assistant to Norm MacDonald, a television personality. He also worked as a writer for MTV and moved to Los Angeles in 2001 when he got a role in the VHI comedy series Random Play.

As a stand-up comedian, Nash was trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in Los Angeles and was a member of the sketch comedy troupe “Price, Nash and Blieden” along with two other comedy colleagues. Together, the trio performed at various comedy festivals and also created TV shows for major television stations.
Among other accomplishments, Jason Nash helped create the highly successful podcast Guys with Feelings in January 2006 alongside Jeff Bumgarner. In 2010 he played in season 7 of the NBC reality talent contest Last Comic Standing, which made it to the semi-finals. Jason Nash originally came to Vine with the goal of selling a few copies of his film, but he got a lot more than he bargained for. His 6-second comedy clips about Vine earned him a huge fan base, and he became one of the app’s most notable influencers.
In 2016, Nash worked with his Internet star Brandon Calvillo on the feature film FML: A Social Media Adventure, which featured other Vine stars and comedians. Jason Nash was previously married to his college sweetheart Marney Hochman, but the marriage ended in divorce sometime in 2017. Details of their marital union are somewhat sketchy, but it is known that the couple has two children together; a son Wyatt Nash and a daughter Charley Nash.

After his marriage ended, Jason Nash had a love affair with his YouTube star colleague and entrepreneur Trisha Kay Paytas. Paytas has a long YouTube career, and her video content consists primarily of music videos and food shows. In addition to being an Internet star, she has also appeared on several reality TV shows, including My Strange Addiction, Dr. Phil, The Price Is Right, and the UK reality hit series Celebrity Big Brother. She has also appeared in music videos for Amy Winehouse and Eminem.
The YouTube power couple worked together on several vlogs and received the bill for a live tour with the tag Trisha & Jason Are In Love in July 2018, but plans for the tour failed when the couple split up a month before the scheduled dates. The reason for their separation was linked to their different eating and exercise habits.
Although their separation was made very public, Nash and Paytas managed to reconcile, and barely a month later they were reunited.
