Famous for a number of her singles that made waves, including such popular singles as “Mani për money”, “E Dehun” and “A Po Don”, Era Istrefi has managed to make it to the top, mainly because she wrote most of her lyrics in the Kosovar Ghegalbanian dialect.
In the beginning, the Albanian-Kosovar singer/songwriter Era Istrefi had a hard time finding out which career path she would take, either to continue the educational career that could give her a good and comfortable job or to follow in the footsteps of her mother and famous sister and pursue the music career that could make her famous. Her final decision for the latter seems to have paid off for her because she became famous not only because she wrote her lyrics in the Kosovan dialect Gheg-Albanian, but also because of her success in combining elements of electronic, pop, and reggae music in her recordings, and in her opinion she would make the same decision over and over again because making music has been her dream since her childhood.
