Toni Braxton is one of the most amazing women in the history of black Americans, whose voice is called the alto voice. It has filed for bankruptcy twice but is currently worth $10 million.

Health Challenges
Braxton’s world was steeped in rumors that she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007. She denied the claims until it became public in 2008 when a benign lump was removed from her breast. In 2010 Braxton was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus, a highly life-threatening disease. From the research carried out, it is clear that the disease is historically documented in her family, as her brother is a carrier of the disease and her uncle died of the complications.

Toni Braxton was married to Keri Lewis in April 2001. The two of them met during an open tour and heralded a romance that led them to the altar. Their union was blessed with two boys – the first, whom they named Denim Cole Braxton Lewis, was born in 2001, the second Diezel Ky Braxton-Lewis was born in 2003.
Her second son Diezel was diagnosed with autism, which motivated his mother to join the Autism Speakers, where she serves as an international spokesperson. Braxton announced her separation from her husband Keri Lewis in November 2009 and was later officially divorced in July 2013.

Toni Braxton was born the son of her father Michael Cornard Braxton Sr., a Methodist Center minister who also worked for an energy company. Her mother is Evelyn Jackson, an opera singer, and cosmetologist who was also a pastor. Ironically, Braxton was born into a spiritual and Christian home, for in addition to her pastor’s parents, her maternal grandfather was also a pastor. It has been said that the education that Braxton and her siblings received was of the strictest nature, as they were never allowed to listen to any kind of music except gospel/godly music.
Braxton has six siblings, and she is the oldest of them all. She has one brother Michael Junior, born in 1968, and four younger sisters Tarci, Towanda, Trina, and Tarma, born in 1971, 1973, 1974, and 1977 respectively.
When she grew up, Braxton was not alone with her love of music. Together with their four sisters, they began singing under the stage name The Braxtons in the late 1980s and produced their first album Good Life in 1990. The album didn’t go that well, but it gave Toni Braxton the right amount of attention. Soon the producers were looking for her, and this led to her recording the soundtrack to Eddy Murphy’s film Boomerang.
