G was born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 22, 1998, the son of Paul and Kathy Hannelius, the son of Genevieve Knight Hannelius. She has a younger sister named Michelle. On his father’s side, Hannelius has Swedish roots. When she was three years old, her family moved to Falmouth, Maine, where G. would spend the rest of her childhood.
In Maine, G. Hannelius developed a passion for acting and began gaining experience with the Children’s Theatre of Maine. She appeared in a number of plays, including Rescue in Summer and Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. In 2008, the starlet spent three months in Los Angeles, California to audition for roles. In spite of the Writer Guild Strike 2008 taking place at that time, G. Hannelius was very successful at the auditions. Her parents would decide to move to LA to improve their daughter’s chances of a Hollywood career.
In LA, Hannelius continued to refine her acting training at the Young Actor’s Studio, and in 2009 her professional acting career had officially begun. G. Hannelius then became an integral part of Disney after a Disney manager discovered her commercial, “Aquarium of the Pacific”. Between 2009 and 2015 she was to appear in a number of Disney productions, including Sonny with a Chance, Good Luck Charlie, Hannah Montana, Den Brother, and others. She has spoken to Rosebud in three animated films in the Disney Buddies franchise.
Her biggest hit at Disney would be the series Dog with a Blog, which aired from October 2012 to September 2015. Hannelius is a graduate of Sierra Canyon High School with the class of 2017.

G Hannelius started to change into more adult roles in 2016. That year she appeared in the History Channel’s miniseries Roots, in which she played Missy Waller. However, her transition from Disney seemed to be rather slow.
