Timothy Olyphant, popularly known as Sheriff Seth Bullock in the television series Deadwood, is an American actor whose path in the entertainment industry dates back to 1995 when he started in the theatre. Today, he appears regularly as Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens on the FX television series Justified. Timothy, whose full name is Timothy David Olyphant, was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to J.V. Bevan, father, and Katherine Olyphant, mother. His father was Vice President of Production at Gallo Winery during his more active years. He has two siblings, an older brother named Andrew and a younger brother named Mathew.
At the tender age of two, his family moved to Modesto, California, where he spent much of his childhood, but they later separated due to divorce when Timothy was a teenager. He attended the Fred C. Beyer High School in Modesto, and as a small child, he enjoyed art and drawing but detested acting because he was ashamed of it.
