Tichina Arnold Biography
Tichina Rolanda Arnold, born on June 28, 1969, in Queens, New York, grew up here at the side of her sister Zenay Arnold, who is now considered by many to be the inspiration for defying the 7 autoimmune diseases and living above them.
For her education, Tichina attended the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. She started acting at a very early age after she started performing in her family church. Her talent became very evident, and with the help of her mother and uncle, she began a career that would last for decades. She got her first role on the big screen at the age of 16 when she appeared in The Brass Ring in 1983. This was followed by The House of Dies Drear in 1984 and then Little Shop of Horrors in 1986.
To date, Arnold has appeared in nearly 30 films, including Fakin’ Da Funk (1997), Big Momma’s House (2000), Wild Hogs (2007), Dance Flick (2009), and Royal Family Thanksgiving (2015). Her appearance in the film The Last Black Man in San Francisco is planned for 2019.
