Lately, it’s not so bad if you work in the media as a gay person, but a few decades ago, when Andy Cohen started working in the media, things were different. Although he came out to his friends and family, he held back at work because his colleagues kept mocking and beating up gays. Once he had the courage to tell people at work, there was no turning back for Andy.
He went on to become the youngest openly gay producer hired by CBS News at the time. After working in the entertainment industry for several decades and winning several prestigious awards, including an Emmy, Andy Cohen sees himself as one of the positive role models that young guys can look up to in the media.

Andy Cohen’s previous relationships
Andy has admitted that while it’s a good thing that the New York Senate finally decided to vote to legalize same-sex marriage, he is ‘crazy’ that it took so long to get it passed. He believed that things would have gone differently if this option had been available when he had just left college. He admits that he probably would have been married by now.
Andy, who has been in the news over the years for his romantic involvement with several boys, has admitted that some of the stories are not true. One of the few confirmed relationships Andy Cohen has had openly is with Clifton Dassuncao, who is an environmental health scientist and epidemiologist. He’s also a Harvard Ph.D.
They met on Barry Diller’s $150 million yachts and fell in love. Things seemed to be getting pretty serious between them, with Andy hinting at marriage before their relationship ended abruptly. The relationship lasted two years (2016- 2018) and it is not known what led to their separation.

Year after year they have performed in several cities in sold-out theatres. While some people continue to nudge their best friends in the direction of a romantic relationship, it seems that it may never happen, as Andy has stated that they have been best friends for more than 25 years and have shown love and respect for each other.
