He is a comedian, musician, actor, writer, and producer who has played and will play a role in many works that have received and will continue to receive rave reviews. For a quick refresher: T. J. The all-around entertainer has his full name as Todd Joseph Miller. He was born on June 4, 1981, in Denver, Colorado, the son of Leslie Miller (Jewish mother) and Kent Miller (American father).

As a small child, he attended Graland Country Day School and East High School, where he was known as a class clown and a member of the school’s drama club. After high school, T.J. Miller went to George Washington University (GWU) in Washington, D.C. to study psychology with a focus on situation theory and social influence. Over time, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in 2003. Before graduating, Todd was an avid entertainer and a remarkable member of receSs, a comedy group at GWU, and he also studied Shakespeare for a summer while attending the British American Drama Academy in London.

Like any actor with a knack for making people laugh, T.J. Miller began his entertainment career as a comedian when he moved to Chicago. He quickly became famous with an improvised comedy company called The Second City, which he toured with for 2 years. In 2011 he released his first comedy project, No Real Reason, which was quickly followed by a comedy album in 2012, Mash-Up Audiofile.

At the same time that Todd was putting his comedy career in order, he was also doing well on television as an actor, with several works including ABC’s Chelsea Lately (2007-8), the Disney Channel cartoon Gravity Falls (2012) in which he sang Robbie Valentino, the Fox television series The Goodwin Games as Jimmy Goodwin (2013), and a host of other recent works including Silicon Valley (2014-2017) and F is for Family (2017).

T.J. has also been involved in a number of film projects such as Cloverfield (2008) as Hudson “Hud” Platt, Hell and Back (2014) as Augie (voice part), and Ready Player One (2018) as i-R0k.

Who is His Wife?

T. J. Miller is no longer single, the talented entertainer has hired his long-time girlfriend and current wife – Kate Miller – in 2014. On September 6, 2015, the duo walked to the altar at the Denver Botanical Garden, where they were declared man and wife. It is not known that children have emerged from their union.

Why Did He Leave Silicon Valley? 

Todd Joseph Miller attracted quite a bit of attention with his role as Erlich Bachman in the HBO sitcom Silicon Valley. In the series, he plays the role of a prominent employee in Pied Piper – a technology company where he is a venture capitalist, software designer, and chronic hash smoker.

Everything went well for the actor, crew, and viewers until season 4 in 2017 when he decided to leave the series. When the media asked what was going on behind the scenes, T. J. revealed how the Hollywood reporters reported that he was offered a reduced number of episodes in the series, adding that he did not like Alec Berg, the series’ director. Mike Judge, the co-creator of Silicon Valley, reported that it was clear that T.J. didn’t want to do the show anymore, so he decided to leave the show.

Nevertheless, considering how his character was written off the show, we might see the actor return to the show.
