In professional wrestling, Shinsuke Nakamura is one of the guys you always want to get in the ring. His signature and finishing moves are grandiosely cool and unusual – thanks to his experience in mixed martial arts.
It was in 2016 when the Japanese wrestler signed with the WWE, but he was much admired and celebrates more than a good number of other wrestlers who were in the WWE when he was an amateur wrestler.
Shinsuke Nakamura Bio – Age
Assuming that the professional wrestler is one of those people who have a soft spot for celebrating their birth anniversaries, Shinsuke would mark every February 24th. That was his date of birth, the year was 1980 and the place of birth was in Mineyama, Kyoto, Japan. However, the superstar currently resides in the United States of America, more precisely in the city of Orlando, Florida.
Our efforts to uncover the facts about the beginnings of wrestling life, overshadowed by his eventful career, have unfortunately been unsuccessful so far. We traced the beginning of Nakamura’s professional wrestling career back to 2002 when he ruled as one of the most phenomenal wrestlers in New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW). A number of factors facilitated his triumphs in NJPW, but his ring action, which is a mixture of fast, fierce punches and punches combined with submission holds, helped him greatly in defeating almost all of his opponents.
The “King of Strong Style”, as he is known, has stylistically moved away from the NJPW. Not only did he become a three-time IWGP heavyweight champion, but he was also the youngest wrestler to win the prestigious title. Shinsuke was to repeat his fascinating skills and wins at WWE NXT, which eventually earned him the NXT Championship title.
At this point, those who doubted his abilities began to acknowledge this. Still, he surprised everyone when he came to SmackDown, brought down wild wrestlers like Randy Orton, and defeated the champ – John Cena. Nonetheless, his elimination of Roman’s reigns at the 2018 Royal Rumble Match, in which he emerged victoriously, is considered Nakamura’s greatest achievement in WWE to date.
After winning the Royal Rumble, Shinsuke Nakamura dared WWE champion AJ Styles to dance in the ring with him. The WWE community loved this as it was believed that the meeting of the King of Strong Style with AJ Styles would be a classic show, and it was. But then AJ was the superstar who won the Superdome clash in New Orleans in April 2018.
Shinsuke Nakamura’s Wife
If you had to talk about the WWE superstar’s love life, you wouldn’t have to talk about the fact that he was with several women or had a girlfriend. Shinsuke Nakamura is a married man. Yes, he’s been married for over a decade.
As far as we know, the man has been the husband of his college sweetheart, Harumi Maekawa, since September 2007. You probably haven’t heard about this yet, because the wrestler and his wife are not willing to entertain the public with the affairs of their private lives. For this reason, it is hard to say if the marriage between Shinsuke and Harumi is blessed with children.
Is He Gay?
Although many are unaware that the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Famer is married and has a wife, among those who know his marital status and the wrestling community, it is sometimes suspected that Mr. Shinsuke is gay.
While it was difficult for us to determine the source of the suspicion, we eventually learned that it was essentially the wrestler’s posture, behavior, and somewhat graceful body posture that fueled the suspicion.
Apart from that, there are no facts whatsoever that could prove that the wrestler is gay. Since he is married to a woman, it is very likely that the wrestler has always been heterosexual.
His Height, Weight, and Body Stats
The picture of Shinsuke isn’t one of those pictures that would shoot through your head when you think of a typical wrestler. He doesn’t have enormous biceps or such a body structure that would scare the hell out of a wrestler like Brock Lesnar. He looks like a regular guy until you see him unleash his amazing mixed martial arts skills as he struggles to humiliate the big, tough macho guys.
Shinsuke Nakamura is 2 inches taller than 5 feet (1.88 m) and weighs 229 lb (104 kg). His height is 44, 34, and 17 inches for chest, waist, and biceps.
