In the late 1980s and early 1990s, there were less than a handful of women who could compete with Sherilyn Fenn as the sexiest and most beautiful woman in Hollywood. For this reason, the actress appeared in numerous sexploitation films with many features on the front pages of magazines such as Rolling Stone, Playboy, Entertainment Weekly, and Harper’s Bazaar, but her roles in Twin Peaks (1990-1991), Boxing Helena (1993) and Rude Awakening (1998-2001) should remain in her memory.
Sherilyn Fenn – Bio
Sherilyn Fenn was born in Detroit, Michigan, on February 1, 1965, the daughter of Arlene Quatro and Leo Fenn. She was born into a family that invested heavily in the music business, as her mother was a keyboardist while her father was a talent manager in the music industry. One of the bands in which her father was a manager was that of rock musician Suzi Quatro, her mother’s sister.
Because of her mother’s work, Fenn lived all over America as a child. However, when she turned 17, the family settled in Los Angeles, California, where the teenager decided not to start a new school and finish high school, but instead enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute to study acting. After a few years, Fenn managed to land a number of low-budget roles and shot for television movies such as The Wild Life (1984), Silence of the Heart (1984), and Out of Control (1985).
Around this time, Sherilyn Fenn was one of the most talked-about actresses in Hollywood as she became a sex symbol. For this reason, many directors and producers made sexploitation films after her, such as Two Moon Junction (1988), which she said gave her a short break from acting. In 1990, Fenn returned to take on the role of Audrey Horne in the television series Twin Peaks. Her performance in the series earned her a nomination for the Emmy and Golden Globe Awards, as she was now a certified sex symbol. She cemented this fact by appearing on the cover and then on a nude photo in the December 1990 issue of Playboy magazine.
Other films and series in which Fenn appeared at this time include Dillinger (1991), Desire and Hell at Sunset Motel (1992), Diary of a Hitman (1992), and Of Mice and Men (1992). More recently, Fenn has appeared in such series as Gilmore Girls (2006-2007), Ray Donovan (2014), and S.W.A.T. (2017-2018).
Partner – Dylan Stewart
Sometime in the mid-2000s, Sherilyn Fenn began dating actor Dylan Stewart. On August 6, 2007, the couple welcomed a child whom they named Christian. Not much is known about the couple, as there are contradictory reports about whether they are still together or not. However, it is clear that they did not take the step of exchanging their marriage vows.
Affairs and Relationship History
Since she entered the popularity scene in the early 1980s, Sherilyn Fenn has been associated with a long list of men. The gorgeous actress, listed as one of the most beautiful women in the world by the US Weekly in 1990 and People Magazine in 1991, initially had a relationship with the English musician and actor Billy Idol, who is best known as a member of the punk rock band Generation X. When this relationship ended, Fenn allegedly switched to Canadian actor Kiefer Sutherland, but the relationship was short-lived.
In 1984, Fenn was associated with actor Chris Penn, at whose side she appeared in The Wild Life (1984). It is not clear how long the two were together before she entered into a high-profile relationship with pop singer Prince in 1985. The relationship between the two was short-lived and gave her space to move on to her co-star in the short film Dummies (1985), actor Johnny Depp, who had just come out of a two-year marriage. The two met for several years and were engaged to be married before separating due to conflicting schedules.
Between 1989 and 1991, Sherilyn Fenn dated photographer Barry Hollywood. A year later she began dating guitarist and songwriter Toulouse Holliday, whom she met while shooting the romantic comedy Three of Hearts (1993). The two soon became engaged and welcomed a son named Myles on December 15, 1993. After the birth of her child, Fenn exchanged vows with Holliday in 1994. Their marriage lasted until 1997 when it ended in divorce.
