In the late 1980s and early 1990s, there were less than a handful of women who could compete with Sherilyn Fenn as the sexiest and most beautiful woman in Hollywood. For this reason, the actress appeared in numerous sexploitation films with many features on the front pages of magazines such as Rolling Stone, Playboy, Entertainment Weekly, and Harper’s Bazaar, but her roles in Twin Peaks (1990-1991), Boxing Helena (1993) and Rude Awakening (1998-2001) should remain in her memory.

Sherilyn Fenn – Bio

Sherilyn Fenn was born in Detroit, Michigan, on February 1, 1965, the daughter of Arlene Quatro and Leo Fenn. She was born into a family that invested heavily in the music business, as her mother was a keyboardist while her father was a talent manager in the music industry. One of the bands in which her father was a manager was that of rock musician Suzi Quatro, her mother’s sister.

Because of her mother’s work, Fenn lived all over America as a child. However, when she turned 17, the family settled in Los Angeles, California, where the teenager decided not to start a new school and finish high school, but instead enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute to study acting. After a few years, Fenn managed to land a number of low-budget roles and shot for television movies such as The Wild Life (1984), Silence of the Heart (1984), and Out of Control (1985).

Around this time, Sherilyn Fenn was one of the most talked-about actresses in Hollywood as she became a sex symbol. For this reason, many directors and producers made sexploitation films after her, such as Two Moon Junction (1988), which she said gave her a short break from acting. In 1990, Fenn returned to take on the role of Audrey Horne in the television series Twin Peaks. Her performance in the series earned her a nomination for the Emmy and Golden Globe Awards, as she was now a certified sex symbol. She cemented this fact by appearing on the cover and then on a nude photo in the December 1990 issue of Playboy magazine.

Other films and series in which Fenn appeared at this time include Dillinger (1991), Desire and Hell at Sunset Motel (1992), Diary of a Hitman (1992), and Of Mice and Men (1992). More recently, Fenn has appeared in such series as Gilmore Girls (2006-2007), Ray Donovan (2014), and S.W.A.T. (2017-2018).
