Nick Di Paolo is a comedian, actor, writer, and presenter. Basically known as a comedian, his career in stand-up comedy only began because he was bored with his sales job in 1987. He was fascinated by comedians like David Letterman, Mark Douglas, and others who were among the best American comedians in his youth. This and the fact that he was a funny guy who made people laugh in school helped him discover his talent.

Nick Di Paolo Biography

Nick Di Paolo was born Nicholas Rocco Di Paolo on January 30, 1962, in Danvers, Massachusetts as the son of his parents, Nick Di Paolo Sr. and Diana Di Paolo. After graduating from Denver High School in 1980, he went on to the University of Maine. During his time at the university, he played soccer as a running back for the Maine Black Bears. He graduated from college in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.

After college, Nick started working as he switched between different jobs. He worked as a food salesman and also as a field marketer before he came across stand-up comedy, which was not so popular at the time. During his studies, he was the fool of the class and made his classmates and even his work colleagues laugh. And so, with the encouragement of his friend, he started a career in stand-up comedy that was more fulfilling for him than his time as an employee.

In his youth, he enjoyed comedy and comedians on television shows such as Jay Leno on the Merv Griffin Show and David Letterman on the Mike Douglas Show, and others. These comedic greats had a great influence on him as they helped him build a foundation for his career. Although he always had the desire to try stand-up comedy, he was not confident enough, but he went in after he realized that his job as a salesman was not fulfilling.

His first appearance on stage was in 1987 at an open mic night at Stitches in Boston. Although it only lasted five minutes, it went quite well, so he decided to go for it. In 1992 he went to Los Angeles, California to further his career, and in Los Angeles, he started out in television and film with small roles in projects like Grace Under Fire, an American sitcom where he worked as a bartender.

Nick Di Paolo has been on national television for the Arsenio Hall Show and so many others. In Los Angeles, he also met Artie Lange, a comedian, and actor, and they became friends.

In June 2001, while living in Queens, New York City, he appeared on the late-night show with David Letterman. From 2006 to 2007 he hosted an afternoon show on WFNY. He has also appeared in other comedy shows such as Tough Crowd With Colin Quinn, The Comedy Central Roast of Jeff Foxworthy, Comedy Central Roast of Denis Lear, and other Comedy Central Shows. In 2006 he starred in Artie Lange’s feature film Artie Lange Beer League.

He hosted a radio talk show, Faction Talk, which began in May 2017 and was canceled in April 2017. The cancellation was due to comments from Nick on his Twitter account that management found offensive. Although Nick admitted that he was wrong, he insisted that canceling the show was a severe punishment and that he should have been suspended instead.

Not much is known about his family except that he carries the same name as his father Nick Di Paolo Sr. and that his mother’s name is Diana Di Paolo. We also learned that he has a brother, and although his name is not known, it turns out that both siblings attended the same university.

He is married to Andi Hughes, an actress who has starred in films such as Plan B (1997) and I Am My Resume (2003). They got married on March 15, 2003, and are still together without any rumors of divorce.
