Nick Di Paolo – Biography
Nick Di Paolo was born Nicholas Rocco Di Paolo on January 30, 1962, in Danvers, Massachusetts as the son of his parents, Nick Di Paolo Sr. and Diana Di Paolo. After graduating from Denver High School in 1980, he went on to the University of Maine. During his time at the university, he played soccer as a running back for the Maine Black Bears. He graduated from college in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
After college, Nick started working as he switched between different jobs. He worked as a food salesman and also as a field marketer before he came across stand-up comedy, which was not so popular at the time. During his studies, he was the fool of the class and made his classmates and even his work colleagues laugh. And so, with the encouragement of his friend, he started a career in stand-up comedy that was more fulfilling for him than his time as an employee.
In his youth, he enjoyed comedy and comedians on television shows such as Jay Leno on the Merv Griffin Show and David Letterman on the Mike Douglas Show and others. These comedic greats had a great influence on him as they helped him build a foundation for his career. Although he always had the desire to try stand-up comedy, he was not confident enough, but he went in after he realized that his job as a salesman was not fulfilling.
His first appearance on stage was in 1987 at an open mic night at Stitches in Boston. Although it only lasted five minutes, it went quite well, so he decided to go for it. In 1992 he went to Los Angeles, California to further his career, and in Los Angeles, he started out in television and film with small roles in projects like Grace Under Fire, an American sitcom where he worked as a bartender.
Nick Di Paolo has been on national television for the Arsenio Hall Show and so many others. In Los Angeles, he also met Artie Lange, a comedian, and actor, and they became friends.

He has also appeared in other comedy shows such as Tough Crowd With Colin Quinn, The Comedy Central Roast of Jeff Foxworthy, Comedy Central Roast of Denis Lear, and other Comedy Central Shows. In 2006 he starred in Artie Lange’s feature film Artie Lange Beer League.
He hosted a radio talk show, Faction Talk, which began in May 2017 and was canceled in April 2017. The cancellation was due to comments from Nick on his Twitter account that management found offensive. Although Nick admitted that he was wrong, he insisted that canceling the show was a severe punishment and that he should have been suspended instead.
