Naoya Inoue, popularly known as the monster, brings simplicity and elegance to the ring. He is a Japanese professional boxer who is still undefeated after sixteen fights. As a world champion in three-weight, Naoya Inoue may be simple in his fights, but he is popular for his brutal attacks and powerful punches. Here is everything you need to know about him.

Naoya Inoue’s Biography

Naoya Inoue was born on April 10, 1993, in Zama, Kanagawa Prefecture. Very little is known about his private life and upbringing, but it is known that the Japanese boxer grew up alongside a younger brother who is also a boxer.

As a young boy, Naoya played a little soccer, but it was boxing that he should return to. This is very easy to understand since his father was a boxer himself. Over the years, Shingo Inoue became the inspiration and coach of his sons Naoya and his younger brother Takuma Inoue.

Naoya Inoue, who started fighting at a very young age, won the Japanese National Junior Championships and the Japanese Interscholastic Athletics Meeting in 2009. By the end of his amateur career in 2011, the Japanese boxer already had 75 wins, and only 6 defeats to his name. Among other things, he took home the gold medal at the 21st President’s Cup in Indonesia.

He started his professional career in 2012 when he signed with Ohashi Boxing Gym. In the same year, he had his first fight against Crison Omayao, who was then the Philippine National Champion. He won the fight by knocking him out in the fourth round.

In his fourth fight in 2013, he defeated Ryoichi Taguchi in a unanimous decision to win the Japanese lightweight title. In the same year, he defeated Jerson Mancio to win the lightweight OPBF title. In 2014, he won a number of other titles, including the WBO junior bantamweight title, which he should successfully defend seven times by 2017. In 2018 he took home the WBA title (Regular) in bantamweight.

With 16 fights in his career, Naoya Inoue has won all his fights without a tie or defeat. Interestingly, only 2 of the fights were won by decision, while the rest were all won by knockout.

His Family

As already indicated, not so much is known about the family of the monster. However, we do know that he has a younger sister, Haruka Sesa, and a younger brother, Takuma Inoue. Both his parents were influential in his life, but as a boxer, the focus is on his father, Shingo Inoue, who trained him in this sport.

Even though the older Inoue did not become a professional, he was still known as a very good boxer in his amateur days. Nevertheless, he managed to make his son not only a professional boxer but one of the best in Japan.

One of the most interesting things about the boxer is that despite his great popularity, he has managed to maintain a private life. The world champion got married in December 2015, and since the name of the boxer’s wife is not known, it is known that the two have been together since they were both in high school and that they have been together ever since.

Shortly after his marriage, Naoya Inoue announced that he hoped to have three children with his wife, although he was not sure if he would allow them to be boxers.

Height, Weight, and Body Stats

Like a boxer with strong hands and brutal punches, Monster has a name that is much bigger than his size. Although he is athletically built, he is neither the biggest man a ring would see nor the best built. Expressed in numbers, he stands at a height of 5 feet 5 inches (1.65 m) and weighs 118 lb.

Naoya has a reach of 67.3 inches (171 cm), but his general body statistics have not been reported.
