Melissa Suzanne McBride was born on May 23, 1965, in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born to John Leslie McBride and Suzanne Lillian (née Sagley). Her mother, who was born in 1927, died in 2018, and McBride inherited her artistic side from her mother, who studied at the historic Pasadena Playhouse. Her father was a businessman. McBride, who was born the last child of her parents, had three siblings, all of whom unfortunately passed away.
