James and Lawson met, fell in love, and started dating in 2006 during the shooting of Psych. After being together for about seven years, they ended their relationship in 2014 (the same year Psych ended), leaving behind heartbroken fans who thought they would end up at the altar like in the TV series.

He has also appeared in several television films and adaptations, including Don’t Come Knocking, Rolling Kansas, The Dukes of Hazzard, Beerfest, Fear Itself, First Years, Miss Matched, and others. Since his debut in 1999, he has made 28 series and films. He has also directed about 8 television series.
