Maggie Lawson was born on August 12, 1980, in Louisville, Kentucky, as Margaret Cassidy Lawson and grew into an incredible Hollywood actress whose role as Detective Juliet “Jules” O’Hara in the TV series Psych is still admired.

Lawson is the daughter of housewife Judy and hotel manager Mike Lawson, who plays the role of Detective Juliet “Jules” O’Hara in the TV series Psych. She attended Assumption High School Louisville and the University of Louisville. Maggie has two brothers – Nick and Chris Lawson.

Lawson has also starred in various sitcoms such as Home Improvement, Boy Meets World, Cybill, and has made guest appearances on television series such as Smallville and Fear Itself. Her other outstanding appearances include both feature films and television films. She has starred in sitcoms such as It’s All Relative, Crumbs, Inside Schwartz, and also appeared in the television movie Nancy Drew alongside Jill Ritchie, Charlie Finn, and many others. She also played the role of Miss McMartin in the last season of the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men.

She also played the role of Amanda Maddox in Heart of a Stranger and from 2006 to 2014 she played the role of Juliet O’Hara in Psych.

Her most recent films include the television series Angels from Hell (2016), films on the Hallmark Channel, My Favourite Wedding and Christmas Encore (2017), and the horror-comedy series Santa Clarita Diet.

Maggie Lawson was married to her Back in the Game co-star Ben Koldyke from August 8, 2015, to 2017.

Maggie and Ben met on the set of the ABC baseball comedy “Back in the Game” in which she played Terry Gannon – a single mother and former softball champion. After they had been together for about nine months, the lovebirds tied the knots at the Ben family’s ranch in New Mexico. Unfortunately, the relationship did not last long, as Lawson filed for divorce from Koldyke in early 2017.

Ben was born on March 27, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of a respected entrepreneurial family. His father was an investment banker and CEO of the Chicago-based Frontenac company, while his mother is a member of the family that owns one of America’s leading investment companies – the Laird Norton Company.

After graduating in English from Dartmouth College, Ben taught English at a high school and coached soccer in Chicago before embarking on an acting career and making his debut in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia in 2009.

Before her marriage to Ben Koldyke in 2015, Lawson was in a relationship with her psychological actor colleague James Roday from 2006 to 2014.
