Lorenza Izzo is a television and film actress and model born in Chile. As an actress, Izzo has really grit his teeth in the horror film genre. She is known for her role as Kylie in the Chilean-American disaster horror movie Aftershock. She also had a leading role as Justine in the cannibalistic horror movie “The Green Inferno” and starred alongside Keanu Reeves in the erotic horror thriller “Knock, Knock”. She was born on 19 September 1989 as Lorenza Francesca Izzo Parsons in Las Condes, Metropolitan Region of Santiago, Chile. As a young teenager, Lorenza moved with her family to the USA. Later, at the age of 16, she returned to Chile, where she completed her high school education.
At the age of 18, Lorenza Izzo enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York, where she studied acting for a short time. She later enrolled at the University of the Andes in her native Chile to study journalism. In 2010 she acted in a Chilean indie film as part of her diploma thesis. Thanks to her love of fashion, Lorenza later enrolled at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to study design.
In 2011, at the height of her modeling career, Lorenza Izzo participated in São Paulo Fashion Week alongside her mother Rosita Parsons. Afterward, the model-actress played the leading role as Lucia Edwards in the Chilean romantic comedy Qué Pena Tu Boda, the 2011 Film of the Year, which had the highest sales in Chile. The following year she resumed her role in the sequel to the film Qué Pena tu familia.
Aftershock (2012) and The Green Inferno (2013) were her next film projects, after which she moved completely to Los Angeles. Lorenza Izzo also played the female lead Genesis in the erotic horror movie Knock Knock, a remake of the 1977 horror-thriller Death Game, shot in 2015. She was originally given a small role in Knock, Knock because the producers assumed that she could not speak English. Later, however, she was given the female lead role after they discovered that she could also speak English without an accent.
In 2016 she was cast in the leading role of Pilar Herrera in the crime series “Feed the Beast”. She also played the leading role in the horror movie Holidays (2016). Lorenza Izzo is the daughter of Rosita Parsons, who used to be a well-known role model in Chile. At the age of 12, the family moved to Atlanta, where her father graduated from Georgia Tech. Her parents, however, later divorced when she was 16 years old. She grew up with a sibling, a younger sister named Clara Lyon. She is also the niece of international Chilean model and actress Carolina Parsons.
Lorenza Izzo is married to the American actor, director, and producer Eli Roth. The duo has worked together on several films since 2012, including Aftershock and The Green Inferno. However, they came much closer to each other in 2014 when they shot the horror film Knock, Knock, which Roth directed. According to the actress, they became closer during the film’s shooting and tied the knot on November 8, 2014, in a ceremony on Zapallar beach in the Valparaíso Region of Chile, followed by a reception at the Cachagua Polo Club.
