Kevin Harvick’s Biography (Age)
His full name is Kevin Michael Harvick and he was born on December 8, 1975, in Bakersfield, California, the son of Mike and JoNell (Walker) Harvick. In his family, he has an older brother named Clayton and a younger sister named Amber.
Kevin Harvick went to school at North High School, where he played baseball, basketball, soccer, and football like most other sports-loving kids. After high school, he enrolled at Bakersfield College to train as an architect but later gave up his studies to pursue his passion of becoming a professional racer.
Kevin Harvick’s love of racing began as a child when his parents gave him a go-kart as a graduation gift in 1980. He learned to handle it seriously and drove it in races with his peers at times. During his high school years, Kevin attended several racing competitions, and it was little known that he perfected the skills that would make him a champion in the future.
Born in California, he began his NASCAR career in 1995 when he competed at the Mesa Marin Raceway in the Craftsman Truck Series, where he finished 27th in the number 72 family car. In 1997 he drove for the NASCAR Grand National Division, AutoZone West Series. In the same year, he also signed a contract with Spears Motorsports. Two years later he made his debut in the NASCAR Busch Series, while the following year he competed in Richard Childress Racing in Chevrolet Car No. 2. With each season Kevin Harvick improved his personal best and became more confident to compete in even higher rates.
In 2001 he competed in the Winston Cup Series for the first time and was named “2001 Nascar Winston Cup Series Rookie of the Year”. In the same year, he also won the Nascar Busch Series Championship and repeated this feat in 2006.
In his NASCAR career, Kevin has also won the Southern 500 Bojangles 2014, while his best victories to date have been his 4 consecutive wins at the Phoenix International Raceway from 2013 to 2015. In 2015 he was awarded the SPY Best Driver Award. For every race he didn’t win, Kevin Harvick would leave an impressive performance in the competition, just enough to make him a topic of conversation in the media alongside the race winners.
His House and Net Worth
Talk about some of the most successful NASCAR drivers, and Kevin Harvick will certainly be in the top 10. His success on the race track behind the wheel goes very well with his healthy bank balance. Kevins’ net worth is reportedly a handsome $10 million. Considering that he’s not retiring anytime soon, we expect his current net worth to increase even further.
The racing champion and his family have lived in the best homes, although it is not known where they currently live, as he is said to have sold his North Carolina mansion for $2.3 million. Previously he had also sold his vacation home by the sea on Kiawah Island near Charleston, South Carolina, for 8.2 million dollars. It is obvious that Kevin Harvick certainly wants the best when he has a roof over his head, and when his new home is unveiled we will certainly let you know.
Family – Wife, Daughter
Everything about Kevin Harvick revolved around racing, no wonder his wife is also associated with the sport. He met his partner – DeLana (Linville) Harvick – in 2000 at the Michigan International Speedway, where she was working in public relations for another driver named Randy LaJoie. She also comes from a racing driver’s family, as her father is a former NASCAR Xfinity Series (formerly Busch Series) driver, John Paul Linville. At some point, Delana also tried her hand at driving, but it didn’t go beyond a toy.
Kevin and Delana Harvick closed the knot on February 28, 2001, in Las Vegas Nevada, at the same time as he made his debut in the Sprint Cup Series. What a way to start a union. Since then the family has been blessed with the birth of two lovely children. A son named Keelan, born on July 8, 2012, and the younger one, a daughter named Piper Harvick, born on December 28, 2017.
Delana actively participates in motor racing with her husband’s team. She is also co-owner and managing director of KHI Management LLC, a sports management agency, and frequently performs in the Harvick’s pits at Sprint Cup races.
The love between the two has never gone cold, at least that’s what we haven’t heard. The couple still lives together and there are no signs of an impending break-up between the two.
