Jillian Michaels is an American-born personal trainer, fitness expert, entrepreneur, author, reality TV star and media personality. Already in 2004, Michaels gained national fame as one of the original trainers of the debut season of the long-running reality TV show The Biggest Loser. She has been a trainer on 11 of the show’s 17 seasons. The fitness mogul was also featured as a trainer on the Australian version of The Biggest Loser.
Jillian Michaels was also featured as a presenter and co-judge in the short-lived Spike TV reality series Sweat, INC. Michaels also had her own reality TV show Just Jillian, which premiered on Channel E! in January 2016.
Who is Jillian Michaels?
Jillian Michaels was born on February 18, 1974, in Los Angeles, California, as Jillian Leigh McKarus. Her parents divorced when she was quite young. She survived a difficult childhood, struggling with her parents’ divorce, combined with weight problems and problems with self-esteem. However, her life changed at the age of 14 when her mother enrolled her in martial arts classes. She acquired a black belt in martial arts and was able to control her weight.
