Dakota Mayi Johnson was born on October 4, 1989, in Austin, Texas, to famous actor parents, Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith. Interestingly, her two maternal grandparents (Peter Griffith and actress Tippi Hedren) were actors themselves. After her mother divorced her father and married the actor Antonio Banderas, he became her stepfather. As a child, Dakota Johnson grew up between Aspen and Woody Creek, Colorado, where she attended Aspen Community School and had to work in the local market in her spare time, especially during the summer vacations.
