Allie Grant was born on Valentine’s Day in 1994 in Tupelo, Mississippi. She is the daughter of Bob and Angie Grant. Even when she was very young, Grant knew that she wanted to be an entertainer and her parents supported her all the way.

By the age of 3, she had already been to the Model and Talent Expo in Dallas, Texas. Allie remembered that as a child growing up in a family with very funny people, she had developed the habit of imitating the things she saw and trying to learn different accents by doing so.

In high school, Grant attended several school plays. However, her love of acting and her busy schedule for acting did not affect her academic career as Allie became the valedictorian of her 2011 graduating class.

Grant officially began her career in 2005, just before she turned 11. Her first performances were appearances on two of Disney’s biggest shows at the time – The Suite Life by Zack & Cody and That’s So Raven. In the former, she appeared in 4 episodes and played the character Agnes, who had a crush on both Zack and Cody. Her favorite and most memorable episode of the series, she said, was the one that included a game scene in which they had to fight.

Also in 2009, Grant made her stage debut in How I Learned to Drive at the Chandler Theater Studio in North Hollywood. Her other performances in 2010 included the film The Runaways and a guest role as Julie in Private Practice. Grant then enrolled in a summer program at the renowned Harvard University.

Her next major appearance was the lead role of Lisa Shay in Suburgatory, an ABC sitcom that was to air three seasons and 57 episodes before being canceled. Of those, Grant’s character appeared in 52 episodes. In 2012, she took the time to play the role of Remy in the comedy-drama movie Struck by Lightning, which starred Chris Colfer. Like her debut film, Struck by Lightning was a box office hit.

Since then, Grant seems to have turned her focus to the small screen. She made guest appearances in the Red Band Society (2014 episode “Know Yourself”) and in Grey’s Anatomy’s 2015 episode “How to Save a Life”. Grant had a recurring role in The Goldbergs as Evelyn Silver for 9 episodes from 2015 – 2016.

She was given the role of Melinda in the comedic web television series All Night, which premiered on Hulu in May 2018.
